John Korede Akinola is a highly dedicated, resourceful, organized and diplomatic portfolio manager with over twelve (12) years experience in project development, implementation and management with several Non-Governmental Organizations. John possesses vast experience, having championed interventions relating to household economic strengthening, micro financing, international and Sub-Saharan health evaluation, psychosocial support, school-based interventions to care for & support orphans and vulnerable children, youth development and widows’ empowerment projects. He is fully committed to the attainment of the SDGs and has proven over and over again that he has both the competence and experience to design and deliver truly impactful projects. His competencies span program development, implementation, project management, advocacy, system strengthening, as well as monitoring and evaluation. With his extensive expertise managing technical teams through project life cycles, he has successfully and efficiently managed projects funded by USAID, UNODC, EU, British Council, Winrock International and many more donor organizations. He is also a strong advocate for drug abuse prevention and treatment, with knowledge in managing health awareness projects across the various geopolitical zones in Nigeria. He holds a Master’s Degree in Project Development and Implementation (MPDI) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
